Welcome to Seek.ai("we", "our", "us"). Seek.ai is a comprehensive job application acceleration platform designed to assist job seekers by providing automated form autofilling via browser extensions, AI-generated cover letters, custom response generation, and centralized application tracking.
This Privacy Policy outlines how your personal data and application materials are collected, stored, processed, and shared when you use our web platform, desktop web applications, and official Seek.ai Chrome Extension.
Information We Collect
In order to provide personalized AI application assistance, we collect information that you explicitly provide to us as well as data generated during your usage:
- a. Account & Identity Data: Name, email address, profile credentials, and authentication tokens provided through Supabase authentication.
- b. Career & Resume Knowledge Base: Work history, education, skills, certifications, personal contact details, portfolio links, and uploaded resume documents.
- c. Application History & Job Metrics: Target job titles, company names, job posting URLs, submission dates, application statuses (e.g., Applied, Interview, Offer), and customized questionnaire responses.
- d. Analytics & Technical Logs: Standard telemetry data, IP address, browser type, device information, and usage metrics captured via Google Analytics (gtag.js) to improve performance.
Chrome Extension & Third-Party Job Boards
The Seek.ai Chrome Extension operates directly on supported third-party job portals (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Workable, Kariera.gr, etc.) to detect application form fields and inject your saved profile data.
- We do NOT read, store, or sell your private browsing history or web traffic outside of active job application pages.
- Form scanning is restricted exclusively to active input elements necessary for filling job applications.
- Seek.ai is an independent tool and is NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LinkedIn, Indeed, or any job portal.
AI Processing & LLM Integrations
When you utilize our AI features (such as custom answer generation or cover letter writing), your stored resume content and the relevant job description are transmitted to secure Large Language Model (LLM) APIs for real-time text synthesis.
Data Training Safeguards: Your personal data and generated content are transmitted strictly via encrypted API connections and are NOT used to train public foundation models or shared with unauthorized third parties.
Disclaimer of Liability & Limitation of Guarantees
a. User Review Obligation: Artificial Intelligence algorithms can occasionally produce unexpected, inaccurate, or incomplete text ("hallucinations"). You acknowledge and agree that it is your sole responsibility to inspect, verify, and edit all autofilled fields, cover letters, and application responses prior to submitting any job application.
b. No Guarantee of Employment: Seek.ai provides productivity tools only. We do NOT guarantee job interviews, response rates, employment offers, or hiring success.
c. Exclusion of Liability: Under no circumstances shall Seek.ai, its creators, partners, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from rejected applications, inaccurate data submission, account actions by third-party job boards, or missed career opportunities.
Data Security & Retention
We employ industry-standard security practices, including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted PostgreSQL database storage (Supabase), and restricted backend access controls to safeguard your personal portfolio.
Your Rights & Account Deletion
You retain full ownership of your personal data. At any time, you have the right to:
- Access, download, or export your stored resume data and application tracking history.
- Edit or update any personal profile information from your dashboard.
- Request full account deletion and permanent erasure of all associated stored data by contacting support.
